I have been looking for you everywhere,
O Father Padmakara,
In faces and vaginas of my lovers,
In monasteries, friends,
I have travelled the world seeking you.
I even tried to forget your smiling face,
To become deaf and dumb,
To close my heart and mind so I would not
Hear your incessant call.
Who is calling who?
Please grant your blessings
So that mind can finally meet itself
And I can recognize who I have always been.
Please grant your blessings
So I can benefit others.
This arose in the mind of one known as Clarity of the Heart on the second full moon of July 2004 during a Sadhana of Mahamudra practice in Dharma Place of Great Bliss. May there be virtue!

THE WARRIOR IS NOT AFRAID OF SPACE
Commentary
The coward lives in constant terror of space: afraid of darkness because he can’t see anything, afraid of silence because he can’t hear anything. The setting-sun world teaches you to wear a suit of armor to protect yourself. But what are you protecting yourself from? Space. The challenge of warriorship is to step out of the cocoon, to step out into space, by being brave and at the same time gentle.

I’ve spent the last hour or so trying to find how to open an SSL encrypted http session using a client certificate. It seems that this should do it:
Kenny Kerr
To use a certificate, the client needs to be issued a certificate by a certificate authority. Since the certificate has an associated private key, it needs to be kept safe. This is handled by a certificate store which you can access using the Cryptography API or though Internet Explorer. Here is an example of using a client certificate:
Uri uri = new Uri(”https://server/application”);
X509Certificate certificate = X509Certificate.CreateFromCertFile(@”C:\client.cer”);
HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest) WebRequest.Create(uri);
request.ClientCertificates.Add(certificate);
using (WebResponse response = request.GetResponse())
{
// TODO: read response
}

By choosing to buy the most humanly-touched products we can afford, or at least striving to do so, we’ll not just benefit the craftsmen out there. It will give you the impassioned knowledge that someone, somewhere, has added a little of their character into your suit. No machine can imitate this. It’s what makes the coat, Bespoke or otherwise, truly unique and frankly, that’s what keeps the customers coming back. Yes, the fact that their coat has a human story behind it makes it seem more special to them.
Amazing, what you find in the world of blogs! Tailor’s blogging!

From marv on record, archive:
Burning through Napster’s collection, free.
He figured out a way to burn music you’re listening from napster to disk - nothing really special, just record sound out from your sound card to .wav file and then encode.
first i dismissed this, as napster is currently us,uk and ca only, but i figured, hey,let’s give it a try.
so, i download the client and sure enough on start up it says, sorry, your country is not supported. well, let’s see if we can change this.
go to IE, set proxy to my web server that i have in uk, restart napster again - voila, i can login!
now, the second hurdle - in order to sign up for 14 day trial, it wants a credit card. So i give them a slovenian credit card, in county i say NA and it goes through OK! So now I have a great way to listen to music, napster’s collection seems to be enormous and they have pretty good discovery and sharing mechanism. so, even though i haven’t even tried doing the trick mentioned in the above post, i ended up with a nice service. we’ll see if they’ll take my CC after the 14 day trial.

Hula is a calendar and mail server. We are focused on building a calendar and mail server that people love to use, instead of broadly trying to build a “groupware server” that managers want to deploy.

43 Folders: Five fast email productivity tips
Interesting list of advice from 43folders. I still have problems with the 5th one, and I’m not sure I agree.
I’d like to be able to respond to every email and not just delete them….
